2) Velvet Elk Antler

According to Dr. Johnson-Arbor, the term "velvet elk" refers to the soft hair that covers the regenerating antlers of deer, and it is not a Disney character. "Velvet elk antler" or "deer velvet" is a dietary supplement made from powdered antler velvet and is often advertised as a way to enhance the immune system, improve athletic performance, and enhance sexual function. However, this supplement can be hazardous because deer or elk antlers may contain prions. Prions are thought to cause Creutzfeldt–Jakob Disease, a rare and almost always fatal brain disorder. 3) Apoaequorin

4) Calcium

Dr. Jacob Hascalovici, MD, PhD, the Chief Medical Officer at Clearing, explains that although calcium supplements are frequently promoted as beneficial for bone health, they have been linked to an increased risk of heart attacks. As scientists continue to research calcium supplementation, it seems that it may be preferable to obtain calcium from food sources rather than as a separate supplement. 5) Ginkgo Biloba

People with epilepsy should generally avoid Ginkgo biloba since it may cause seizures.

6) Beta-Carotene

Dr. Hascalovici suggests that excessive consumption of Beta-Carotene, which is responsible for producing vitamin A, can be harmful. One study discovered that in males, beta-carotene supplementation was linked to an increased risk of lung cancer. It is preferable to obtain beta-carotene and vitamin A from natural sources such as sweet potatoes, carrots, and other brightly colored vegetables.
