Coca-Cola is reviving one of its most celebrated flavors, and fans are buzzing with excitement. After a 17-year absence, Coca-Cola Lime is making a comeback and will soon be available in the U.K.
"We're thrilled to bring a slice of lime to the nation's favorite cola, expanding our range with a new flavor – available in both regular and sugar-free options – that we know shoppers adore," said Rob Yeomans, Vice-President of Commercial Development at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) GB.
Yeomans also highlighted the growing popularity of flavored colas, which are outpacing the overall cola market as consumers seek fresh twists on classic beverages. "This sub-segment offers a significant opportunity for retailers to drive incremental growth, and we're committed to investing in our range throughout 2025 to help them capitalize on it," he added.
The company reintroduced Coca-Cola Lemon last year after its discontinuation in 2006, and it quickly became a hit. "Building on the success of Coca-Cola Lemon, which has generated nearly £20 million in value sales since its launch, Coca-Cola Lime offers consumers another refreshing choice in the growing flavored colas category, featuring a tangy, bittersweet taste," the company stated.
Fans have already spotted Coca-Cola Lime in stores like Asda, FarmFoods, and Tesco. One enthusiastic customer shared on Facebook, "So glad they did this as a full-sugar version," while another added, "Tesco have it too!"
"Following the overwhelming success of last year's new flavor relaunches, we're thrilled to expand our portfolio further with the introduction of Coca-Cola Lime," said Charlotte Walsham, Senior Brand Manager at Coca-Cola. "Coca-Cola fans can now enjoy the classic taste they love with a refreshing tangy citrus twist."
While the company continues innovating with exciting new flavors, Diet Coke remains a brand staple. This year, it gains fresh momentum through a new partnership with actor Jamie Dornan—though, for now, it's exclusive to the U.K.
"We're honored to announce Jamie Dornan as Diet Coke's latest ambassador, adding to the brand's legacy of collaborating with some of the biggest names in film, fashion, and culture," said Louise Maugest, Senior Marketing Director. "Jamie brings a dynamic energy to the 'This Is My Taste' campaign, inspiring people to celebrate their unique style and moments of joy—all while enjoying an iconic Diet Coke break."
"I'm delighted to join the Diet Coke family," Dornan shared. "The 'This Is My Taste' campaign struck a chord with me because it reminds us to take time for ourselves and enjoy the things that make us happy. And if that includes sipping a Diet Coke while lounging on a unicorn floatie, then so be it!"
